CFRP components make drive systems faster, lighter, smaller
Acceleration. Force transmission. The transfer of torque. Shafts play an important role for the transmission of power. From the utilization as a propshaft in the automotive industry, the actuation of the biggest paper machines, and all the way up to electrically insulating couplings in wind turbines. Our drive shafts are used in a wide range of application scenarios, and must therefore meet very high as well as specific requirements.
Conventional drive shafts made of traditional materials such as steel, often quickly reach their material-related application limits. Today, we are the market leader in the development and production of special lightweight solutions for drive technology components made of fiber composite materials such as CFRP or GRP, and aluminum. Modern lightweight materials made of carbon fiber (carbon) are currently enabling the implementation of new technologies, and also help to overcome the critical material limitations commonly associated with applications involving metal-based materials. The characteristics of carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastics (CFRPs), enable the production of considerably lighter and longer, or respectively smaller and faster drive shafts. Our composite drive shafts are individually tailored to the requirements of our customers.
The AVANCO Group is the leader in the development and production of high-quality lightweight design drive shafts as well as their associated components such as CFRP tubes, CFRP flanges, or flexible elements. We possess an extensive wealth of experience in the development, and also for the machining and processing of lightweight design and high-performance composite products.
