Executive Director Christof Schotten and Development Team Leader Dominik Schollmann received the award on behalf on INOMETA during the award ceremony.
Products made by the roller specialists INOMETA are efficient and reliable, and elevate production processes to a new level rarely achieved in the past, a requirement which we also set ourselves as a target for the latest development in the roller sector. The focus is on the electric heating roller as the innovative product. This is a new roller component which this year was awarded and honoured with the coveted ICE Europe Public Award.
The official award ceremony took place on 14 March at the ICE Europe in Munich. Executive Director Christof Schotten and Development Team Leader Dominik Schollmann received the award on behalf on INOMETA during the award ceremony.
As well as INOMETA, around 30 companies competed for this coveted award but only three winners in the categories Digital Converting Solutions, Sustainable Products and Processing Activities as well as Effective Production Solutions were honoured with a prize.
Electric heating roller wins ‘Sustainable Products and Processing Activities’ award category
Dominik Schollmann who is responsible for this INOMETA development together with his team, describes the benefits of the award-winning roller product as follows: “We are very proud of being the victors in the ‘Sustainable Products and Processing Activities’ category, and that our team has received the broad acclaim that it deserves for its work. With our new totally electric-powered heating roller we can meet the needs and requirements for laminating films and other substrates, some of which can be highly sensitive. We ensure a reliably constant and uniform surface temperature distribution, as this is the prerequisite for uniform material web tempering.“
With their electrical mode of operation, the INOMETA heating rollers need no liquid media, the power and signals are transmitted via a flange-mounted slip ring contact. So heat losses outside the roller through the pipe system are now a thing of the past,” says Schollmann, highlighting the technical refinements of the new innovative component.
Christof Schotten, INOMETA’s Executive Director, adds: “We thank everyone who has helped us win the ICE Award 2023. We owe big thanks in particular to the entire team in our company who have believed in the success of this product and devoted a huge amount of effort and commitment to its manufacture. To now see the end result awarded a prize is the crowning glory for our excellent and outstanding development and manufacturing expertise, coupled with an unparalleled knowledge of the industry when it comes to the production and processing of sensitive film products.”
