Material web tempering in laminating and coating applications
We will be presenting a roller concept which basically redefines agility. We are decreasing energy consumption and machine set-up times, lowering the commonly known inertia of conventional systems and therefore enabling heating cycles to be significantly reduced. This involves material web tempering, in which the heating process has been rethought and redeveloped from a new perspective. The self-regulating roller system is based on supplying electrical energy as the heat source and marks the end of previous system concepts, which performing tempering purely with liquid media.
We have optimised the characteristics of the roller surface in order to achieve a high level of wear resistance and minimal roughness. If desired, the surface can feature a low-energy design, meaning cleaning time and costs can be kept to a minimum.
A roller coating for the most stringent requirements in the production of separator films, optical films or high-quality packaging films
At this year’s ICE Europe, we will be demonstrating a roller coating specially developed for applications with scratch-prone substrates. The characteristics of this surface have been designed with the critical and highly sensitive fields of application of film production in mind. Maximum wear resistance and low surface roughness allow this surface to be used in the web guidance of delicate films and foils as well as in the production of separator films for battery production.
